Run for The Wall

I was asked to cover a fundraiser BBQ this past weekend in El Segundo for Run for the Wall.  Had a great time, met lots of really really nice people.  The event itself is in May 18 - 27, 2011 where ALOT of people will ride motorcycles across the country in dedication to POW's and MIA's.

ROTC from Redondo Beach Union performed the flag ceremony.  Ray Weldon (first picture below)  will be 92 years old this May.  He was on Iwo Jima.  An amazing Man.  Some other pics as well including the empty table in memory of those who have not yet returned from service.

 

 

Air Force One!

Whoops! Forgot to share this last week! Here is a picture I took while covering the Mission Community Hospital Gala. A great event that raised much need money.

This picture has a short story.. at first I was told that I was not allowed to take pictures of AF1, so I didn't bring a wide angle lens.. I figured it would help, and I like to travel light.... I get there and am informed that I can take pictures of it! So this is 12 put together! Whew! Low res here to save space, but the high res is pretty cool!

Hello Everyone... Happy 2009! Already have a shoot to share with you... the Polar Plunge. Shot it on the first as usual and much nicer weather this year.. not as cold... Pictures are just about done, and will be up later today/tomorrow.

Registration is $15, and if you raise $100 or more your registration fee will be reimbursed.

Revamping - Blog/Website

Hi Everyone ...blogging right now because the amazing photographer and wonderful person Paige Elizabeth told me to as I sit here at a photographers meeting at Blake Street Tavernin Denver.

Sorry for the massive gap in time updating the blog. I've been traveling ALOT lately for Apple as a trainer, and just trying to catch my breath. Some new images to follow soon, along with an entire new Blog/Website. Goal is Jan 2009... but It could be sooner.. so stay tuned! There are some really really cool things coming up with Silver Lining Photography!

Latest shoots to look out for - Longmont Humane Society Animal Affair 2008. A great night and the money raised will go to good use. Thank you everyone who attended and helped!

Also just spent some time with the Andrist Family. Took some pictures of them for their 2008 Holiday card. They were so much fun to work with.

The Our Center - Empty Bowls Event - March 15th 2008

As I am always searching for ways to help the community I live in, I have decided to start posting information that pertains to helping those less fortunate. The Our Center here in Longmont helps A LOT of people and I was asked to donate for their fundraiser...
