4 Weeks Later - Update

So.. been a busy bee lately .. website redesign for a client (Lisa's Counter Culture) along with some other multimedia and video projects. The main project however has been for myself.. yes... finally have a NEW WEBSITE that is just about done! Look/Feel will be similar but more samples of my work along with the blog being located at the site itself.

Working to get it launched later this week or early next week!

Oh.. In pulling images for the new site, I've come across some great shots from the past.. I'll share those here as well! Have a great week!

The Sleeper and 90 Seconds of STRESS!

So, I was shooting an event earlier this week.. company lecture, with guests from a local college.  There were about 4 people taking turns at the podium, pretty basic format.. grab a few images of each one from 3 or 4 different locations then go for the reaction shots of audience...

On the last speaker, I noticed this gentlemen starting to doze, and I took the shot from my hip (camera hanging down) and fired it off...I've gotten many happy accident/great photos this way in all my years of shooting.  Of course this time was about to be different...

The flash and noise from the shutter made him open his eyes.. and let me tell ya.. he was NOT happy!  He opens his eyes and said "NOT FUNNY"... in a very low, very serious, tone.

I walked slowly by him and whispered, "I'm sorry...."  and then I turned towards him and he literally looks at me, stoic faced, takes a beat and says "Gotcha! I'm Just Kidding.. life's to short.!!! "   OMG!  A HUGE Sigh of relief on my part   I really thought I was done shooting for that company ever again!

I then sat next to him, showed the image and we laughed, quietly.. as there was speaker talking...   He said that he works with him and the local college and has heard the same speech 100+ times... etc..

Gotta tell ya .. I was a little nervous for 90 seconds there!

 

Run for The Wall

I was asked to cover a fundraiser BBQ this past weekend in El Segundo for Run for the Wall.  Had a great time, met lots of really really nice people.  The event itself is in May 18 - 27, 2011 where ALOT of people will ride motorcycles across the country in dedication to POW's and MIA's.

ROTC from Redondo Beach Union performed the flag ceremony.  Ray Weldon (first picture below)  will be 92 years old this May.  He was on Iwo Jima.  An amazing Man.  Some other pics as well including the empty table in memory of those who have not yet returned from service.

 

 

I've Been Tweeted? Twittered? • Update

So.. just found out that some of the shoots I've been covering for Raytheon for the past year have been sent out via Twitter and TwitPic .  Here are the 2 most recent...

This one was just taken on March 14th aka "Pi Day"... (3.14)... Where Raytheon went to a local middle school and gave out real pies.. plus had a little quiz on Pi.

Executive Portrait - Jeffrey Krumholz

Shot a headshot for an old friend of mine from many, many, many years ago!

Here are two pictures of Jeff Krumholz who is now an agent with Northwestern Mutual.   If you are looking for insurance, Jeff is trustworthy as they come and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him whatsoever!

Monster Cable - Cedia 2010 & Best Buy Event

Hi everyone...

Monster Cable contracted me to cover the CEDIA tradeshow in Atlanta... so I packed a bag and off I went. (I had 24 hrs notice, maybe 36.. hard to remmeber!) At the end of the week, I was asked to head over to another event, this one in Phoenix for a National Best Buy event, so I flew home, did laundry, repacked and off again! A few pictures of the events, with Noel Lee riling the Best Buy sales teams for the upcoming holiday season.

Photoshoot with Jackie

Shot last weekend with Jackie - a gospel singer. Just some casual pics around her home for her website. When she gets laughing, she has this GREAT big smile, and an infectious glow! Had alot of fun with her.

And we are back...

Okay.. again.. been awhile.. long story....but an opportunity presented itself 9 months ago, I went for it and that is now over. Life goes on!

So.. that being said.. I will be updating the website/blog fairly soon here.. and just for now.. here are 2 pictures to tide ye over... 1 from a small civil wedding that I covered and the other just from a relaxing day!

I met this family 2 years ago at a local park here in Longmont. Pretty sure that their little girl wasn't born yet! 2 years later and we finally scheduled a photo session! Looking forward to this fall for a family portrait!

Garden of the Gods

Had a great birthday weekend without kids! First time in 7 years my wife and I got away. Thanks to my mom for flying in from California only two weeks after her previous visit to stay with the kids! Mom, you rock!

Went down to Colorado Springs and stayed at Cheyanne Mountain Resort. Really nice place and looking forward to shooting an event there one of these days!














We went over to Garden of the Gods.... met a few climbers.. Here are some pictures from Angel doing only his second climb ever..
He told me that he hid his fear.. also some other pics from the walk around the area.

22 Days Later!

Hi All -

It's been way too long I know, just been REALLY busy.. culling, organizing, shooting.. and the blog gets the short end of the stick...

August weddings are 1/2 way done with being cull'd and presented. Here are a few from Steve and Shadley's wedding - great great day - and now we are connected forever, as they got married on my 10th Anniversary!

They got married at an amazing church - Ryssby Church in Longmont.

Well May turned out to be a busy month... and it just gets busier! I am a little behind on getting images posted up here, but I will be in the office later today processing some of the shoots... Lets see we have Simon's 2nd Birthday, Gretchen's Senior Pictures - btw - she graduated an entire year early.. smart girl! Also have The Eissinger Family session... yikes!
